We welcome you as a patient and we appreciate the opportunity to provide you and your family our best dental care. You will find information here that is designed to answer many of the questions most patients have. We want you to know about our policies and methods of practice. The more you know the more we can be of service to you and your family. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them. Everyone in this practice operates as a team member. All are trained professionals and take pride in our professional capabilities.
Good dental care is a partnership between you, the patient and the dental practice. You can expect that we will provide a high degree of professional skill and ability at a cost that is fair and just for the services we provide. We will make the highest effort to make your visits as comfortable as possible. We are dedicated to your oral health care and we will strive to minimize costly reconstructive work through preventative care and the right treatment at the right time.
In return, we expect your cooperation by making a conscientious effort toward good oral hygiene and schedule appropriate recall visits to maintain optimum oral health. Like your care, it is easier to maintain than to repair.
We tailor your first visit to your needs. We usually schedule an hour or so for a comprehensive exam, 7 x-rays and a prophy (cleaning) with our hygienist. We then tailor your future visits to your needs also. For example, are you cavity free? We may recommend that you have x-rays taken once every 18 months to 2 years. Do you have a lot of dental work? We might recommend that you come see us every 4-6 months.
After your appointment, we will file a claim with your insurance. If you expect to have a co-payment, we would appreciate collecting that but we will send you a statement after your insurance pays. We encourage payment at the time of your visit by offering a 5% discount for cash or check. Statements can get costly and we want to keep ours and yours to a minimum. We have other options so if you would like more details visit our Financial Policy page or just ask us.
|"Dental caries is an infectious, communicable disease resulting in destruction of tooth structure by acid-forming bacteria found in dental plaque, an intraoral biofilm, in the presence of sugar. The infection results in the loss of tooth minerals that begins with the outer surface of the tooth and can progress through the dentin to the pulp, ultimately compromising the vitality of the tooth."
In this golden age of technology, we would love it if you post a review about your experience with us on-line. If we did something wrong, we would like the opportunity fix it and know about it so we don't make the same mistake again and if we did something right, it would be great to help others discover us! Thank you so much!
